The Upcoming Horror "CAPTIVITY"

The first poster for the upcoming horror thriller CAPTIVITY displayed an unfortunate but no less titillating incarceration of Elisha Cuthbert's breasts and the one below now shows her face being regrettably confined. There's clearly an appendage imprisonment theme emerging here. The film stars Cuthbert as a model who wakes up in a room with a stranger and finds they're inadvertent participants in a psychotic killer's sadistic game. It's scheduled for release May 18th.

Seems like good old Joe public may have decided enough is enough regarding one of the current spate of torture infused gorefest’s. After dark and Lionsgate films have been forced to can their recent billboard and taxi cab advertising campaign for the Elisha Cuthbert starring “Captivity”
The somewhat distasteful imagery showing Cuthbert in various stages of distress, including one of her with a gauze covered face and pipes shoved up the nostrils with the caption 'Torture' has enraged the good people of L.A and New York who have objected en-mass.
Needless to say, the whole campaign is being pulled by gleeful executives who’ll be rejoicing at the mass publicity and exposure they’ve just received. Total cost of the exercise, next to naught.
A fairly standard operating procedure for the horror genre these day’s. As it’s release date draws closer, we expect Eli Roth’s “Hostel 2” won’t be disappointing in this department either.
